"What is the meaning of education, Sir ? asked an 8 year old girl of the Samaritan Help Mission, in the slums of Calcutta to her teacher. The teacher was teaching them spelling, and had asked them to spell e-d-u-c-a-t-i-o-n. CARING FRIENDS owes all the progress and development of  SAMARITAN HELP MISSION,  from construction of first window of the SHM school in 2003 to save the children from rain  till establishing full fledge school with three buildings in 2007 & 2008, and at present helping to esatblish a quality school, Health Centre and Vocational Training centre for the marginalized section of the society. This year on this auspicious event 30 local people were invited; they had lunch with us and were very happy to see the happenings at Samaritan Help Mission. One gentleman was so impressed that, he went and bought 400 pieces of Rossoggolla to add to the menu, of Luchi, Aloo Dam, Sweet Dal, Chutney and Papad. He expressed his desire to bear 50% of the budget of organizing the Saraswati Puja at SHM next year.
