CARING FRIENDS owes all the progress and development of SAMARITAN HELP MISSION, from construction of first window of the SHM school in 2003 to save the children from rain till establishing full fledge school with three buildings in 2007 & 2008, and at present helping to esatblish a quality school, Health Centre and Vocational Training centre for the marginalized section of the society.

On 21st June-2003 an article about SHM published in the ASIAN AGE by Dipannita Nath “OUR SERVICE ARE BASED ON NEED NOT ON CREED” and God wanted to bring a dramatic change in the Lives of thousands of poor children, Shri. Ramesh Kacholia (Uncle) read the article, and he contacted Ms. Dipannita Nath and at that time SHM school does not have windows and we were struggling to raise support to install windows otherwise in rainy season the school stops running. Ramesh Uncle sendRs.11000/- to build the windows and within a month Shri. Ashish Kacholia s/o of Shri. Ramesh Kacholia, was on a trip to Kolkata and It was the willingness of Almighty GOD that he visited SHM and stayed there for three hours. Met the children and the volunteers. and that was the begining for change of destiny of SHM, Br.Ashish requested Uncle to support SHM in all manner. From 2003 to 2011 CF’s friends generously supported SHM cause and hundreds of children, women stood on their feet and became self reliant. Apart from support guidance was one of the key factors that has helped SHM to reach so far. Without the the support of caring Friends it was not possible.

Time passed GOD connected shri. Nimesh Bhai, and he played a major role in guiding SHM in all aspects of work. But GOD did not stopped connecting people, ARPAN FOUNDATION and EDELGIVE FOUNDATION a part of CARING FRIENDS came forward to strengthen the work of SHM.

KING UNCLE

Drug peddling is a way of life at Tikiapara, a dirty slum in Howrah. Even the children here were not spared – their parents used them to hand out packets of brown sugar to customers. But not any more.

For the first time in their lives, these children are learning to smile, thanks to Mamoon uncle, a librarian in a local school till recently. The 32-year-old good Samaritan grew up in the same slum and was exposed to the same miseries. But he successfully convinced the parents of the 400-odd children not to involve them in drug peddling. Instead, these children now attend a school run by home at his house. “I will continue to see that these children don’t get back to drug peddling and they get some education,” says Mamoon. Khoob bhalo, we say!
