SHM is successfully running its skill development training unit on conventional tailoring, zardousi and beautician course for the poor and underprivileged adolescent girls and widowed/abandoned women so that they can earn their livelihood and stay away from the antisocial activities.

More than 200 beneficiaries are getting training per year. Most of the passed out trainees are channelized to the huge garment manufacturing industry of Howrah Haat. Some are encouraged to start entrepreneurship and SHM provides every help to them for the same.

SHM is in plan to upgrade the conventional tailoring training unit into industrial tailoring training unit and the process for the same have been started.

The beneficiaries are regularly working from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. in the working unit. They are now very much confident and earning their basic needs.
