Food Support: Distributing Ration to the Migrants and Poor Man-kinds

It was observed that household having more than four or five members specially having children and aged was facing great difficulty to collect food from SHM community kitchen. Secondly, people living little far from the kitchen place was not in position to avail the facility as movement in group has not been allowed by the local administration at all.

Samaritan Help Mission is a school that provides quality education to the economically disadvantaged students in an economically disadvantaged region. Ours is an extremely close-knit community where people pooled in their minimum resources to ensure that no one goes on an empty stomach. In this alarming situation, our team mobilised the available resources and people to help the affected from the slums of Tikiapara, Bankra, and adjoining areas in our own small ways. Considering the fact, the organization chalked out a plan to distribute ration kit including rice, atta, oil, spices, soap etc.   The activity has been started since lock down period and so far 15680 families have been covered under this activity. So, it is with the plan to continue the activity till the lock down period is over. The activity is helping the people of its kind to stay at home and protect themselves from the deadly disease of corona virus. In each activity, SHM volunteers are trying to make the beneficiaries aware about different measures of protection especially social distancing and use of mask while talking with others.

We believe that this is the time when we should stand by each other and help to mitigate the consequences of these unprecedented times. Help us by supporting at the following link:
